The Ordinary Princess was one of my favorite books growing up. This book is well loved, as you can see from the picture. It has been read dozens of times by me to many friends and family! As with many fairy tales, this story begins with a fairy ‘gift’ bestowed upon Her Serene and Royal Highness, the Princess Amethyst Alexandra Augusta Araminta Adelaide Aurelia Anne of Phantasmorania, also known as Amy.
The first of a duology, Larson expertly weaves a story set in a world of magic with a re-telling of Swan Lake in Dark Breaks the Dawn. The title and cover of Dark Breaks the Dawn are beautiful and gives insight into the storyline.
