From goodreads: Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I’d been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive.
Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others. . . .
I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we’re looking for the others–including John.
But so are they.
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They caught me in New York–but I escaped.
I am Number Six.
They want to finish what they started.
But they’ll have to fight us first.
It was fun to see more of the story unfold in this third book of the Lorien Legacies (I read that there could be three more books!). This book was written from the point of view of three characters: John, Six, and Marina (number seven). While this made it interesting to learn more about them as individual characters, I felt reading from a different POV every chapter slowed the story down a little. I liked learning more about Nine and the cushy life he’s led living in the John Hancock Tower. It would have been fun to see the story from his perspective. Maybe in the next book?
The Loriens realize that the leader of the Mogadorians, Setrakus Ra, has arrived on earth, and they accidentally run into him when they stumble upon a hidden base in New Mexico. There is a battle, but it doesn’t look like the Loriens will be able to defeat Setrakus Ra until they find number Five.
I liked seeing the new technology and legacies that the characters discovered in this book. And it was fun to see the characters put aside their differences and learn how to work together more effectively. I’m anxious to get Five’s story, and for the Loriens to find him/her. While I didn’t like this book as well as the first two, it was still a good book. The story is definitely building up to a climax-I’m anxiously waiting for the next installment.
