I found this book listed on a MS website resource page. I may not have read it otherwise, since it looks like a book dedicated to weight loss. I wasn’t looking for a new diet, I was looking for information and facts on how to prevent and reverse disease. And boy, did I find it in this book! Eat to Live has changed the way I look at food. This book examines the American diet and exposes it to the truth it really is…….disease causing. I love the knowledge I gained from this book. It includes
basic nutrition information and provides summaries of medical/health studies to help educate and provide motivation to eat healthy. And I love the getting started guide and the recipes. I have tried them all, and they are filling and delicious.

In one month, I read this book, The China Study, and watched the documentary Forks Over Knives. This book helped me to drastically change my eating habits. I thought I ate fairly healthy, but this book helped open my eyes to see I am not getting adequate nutrition. While I don’t think I will cut animal products completely out of my diet, I have been eating mostly vegetarian for the last four weeks, and have felt so much better! The knowledge I gained from this book has been motivating and empowering.
