Romantic Books for Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! Our anniversary and valentines day are two days apart, so the subject of love has been heavily on my mind this week. So, I thought it would be fun to write a post and share some books with amazing love stories.

Some of my favorite love stories:

Captain Jack Elliot has become one of my all-time favorite characters. The way he courts and woos Sarah is so sweet. Their story is based on mutual trust, friendship, service, and passion. There is also the element of mystery (what is Jack hiding in his saddlebag?) which keeps the story intriguing. My all-time favorite book.

I know Austen's language can be a little hard to get through, but the story is worth it! I love that this couple has to overcome many obstacles--wrong assumptions, family issues, and of course pride! It makes their story so much more believable and timeless.

If you haven't read this series, this is a must-read! This is the third in the series, and I think, the most romantic. Anne and Gilbert's story is the sweetest love story. Anne detests Gilbert for years. During their school years, they compete for top honors. You see them grow into adulthood and each pursue their own interests. But, Gilbert cheers Anne on in all her endeavors, and she finds her heart softening toward him. LOVE love love this series!

Lindsay and Campbell had a summer fling 20 years in the past, and even though they go their separate ways, they never completely get over each other. A mysterious mailbox keeps them connected. One summer, they run into each other again, and their relationship is re-kindled. This is such a great feel-good, clean romance.

What are some of your favorite love stories?
